Friends and lovers! We've got a final sneak peek from the film before the end of our Indiegogo campaign. It's Kulap answering another question from a friend pre-Laos; this time it's from Jon Glover, and it's a great one.
Before embarking on her trip to Laos in April, Kulap sat down to answer some questions sent by close friends about the journey and her feelings on the events leading up to her trip. The below clip includes a question from Casey Wilson. Enjoy! (Only #2daysleft in our Indiegogo campaign; run, don't walk!)
Rocky has been known to dress up from time to time, but this time is a very special time, indeed. We're mere days away from our Indiegogo campaign deadline, and this is the only way we know how to keep track. Count along with us as you head to our page and contribute what you can to our finishing funds. We'll also accept virtual kisses and doggy treats.
Time for Origin Story sneak peek #3; enjoy Kulap and Bio-Dad on the subject of names.
There's still time to donate to our Indiegogo campaign! Stop by and claim a perk before it's too late. Too late is September 20th, by the way.
New and Improved Perks!
With only 9 days left in our film's campaign, we wanted to announce some important updates:
Lunch in Los Angeles with Kulap Vilaysack and June Diane Raphael- For a donation of $1,000, Kulap and June will sit down with you and one guest at an LA eatery to share a delightful meal (airfare, lodging and transportation not included).
Also for $1,000, enjoy a full-day (8-hour) career consultation with Earwolf/Midroll Founder and Chairman Jeff Ullrich. Get his expert advice on your business, career and/or the field of pro podcasting. Meet in LA, or Jeff is willing to fly to you, provided you're located no further than Chicago/Seattle/St. Louis/Houston. Otherwise, you'll meet over Skype.
Lowered $ on Premium Perks:
The "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" half-day set visit for you and two friends is now $5,000 instead of $7,500. Come by during a shoot (airfare, transportation and lodging not included) and meet the cast working that day, enjoy lunch and snap photos.
Also down from $7,500 to $5,000 is the appearance on IFC's "Comedy Bang! Bang!" Meet Host Scott Aukerman, take photos with him on the CBB couch and deliver a line on camera!
Maybe you want to sit in on a session of Earwolf's "How Did This Get Made?" and get 2 tickets to a live show and some podcast swag? It's now available for a $3,000 donation. The recording will be in Hollywood (airfare, transportation and lodging not included).
*All of the above perks also include website and Who Charted? shout-outs, a digital download and special thank-you credit in the film, and our undying gratitude.
Rest assured that this is the last time these perks will be changed; now's the time to claim what you like of the limited supply.
Thanks for your support thus far, and into the final stretch!
Here's Kulap and the lovely Ms. Gail Simone discussing origin stories in our second sneak peek from the documentary! Please stop by our Indiegogo campaign to contribute what you can to finishing costs. Thanks, friends!
Kulap's wonderful friend Mary Elizabeth Ellis wants you to contribute to Origin Story on Indiegogo, and we have the proof right here! She's hoping you'll donate to receive a half-day set visit to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia but there are many other perks to choose from. Take a look for yourself; thanks for all your support!
Are you havin' a summah yet? It's not going to last forever, but these photos of Rocky certainly will. Thank you from the cockles of our hearts for getting us to our second milestone of $45k on Indiegogo! We've got a ways to go but appreciate all your support thus far. Please take a moment to help us celebrate by enjoying these photos.
Y'all, join us for a very special Reddit AMA on Thursday 9/4 at 3pm PT, would ya? Director Kulap will be planted firmly in place to answer all your burning questions.
Of course, she'll be happy to talk about Who Charted? and her other comedic ventures, but we anticipate lots of talk specifically about Origin Story, Kulap's background and filmmaking process, and the ongoing Indiegogo fundraising campaign. So come by and ask away; we'll provide a link at the start of the session. Hope to see you there!
Now that we've got the official Hot Saucerman stamp of approval on our Indiegogo campaign, you can feel even freer to donate. Every cent goes toward helping us finish the film, and we know you want to see it happen as much as Scotty Biscotti does. Bonus: Rocky does not object.
